Going to the gym is great, it gets you out, sweating, and perfect for staying in shape. Although you can through your hair into a simple ponytail, so people enjoy looking a little cuter at the gym and we can respect that. To help put fellow gym lovers, we did a little research and found eleven of our favorite short hairstyles that are perfect to wear to the gym. Check them out and let us know which are your favorite.
1. Knotted Braid
Braiding your hair is a great way to keep it back and out of your face. Give this knotted braid a try where you boxer braids your hair and tie the two ends into a small knot so they don’t sit along your sweaty neck.
2. Double Bun
Looking cute at the gym is never easier with these double buns. Part your hair down the middle and roll both sides up into a bun. Make sure to secure them with bobby pins so they don’t fall out during your cardio session.
3. Thick Hair
Thick hairs wearers don’t worry, we have you covered. Braid your hair into this ultra thick braid to keep it back and out of the way. Start by doing two French braids on either side of your head then when you get to the back, combine both braids into one mega braid.
4. Boxer Braids
Combine two great styles, boxer braids, and thick buns. Part your hair in the middle and French braid it back until you hit the end of your head then roll whatever hair is left into a bun. Use some pins to keep everything secure and you’re finished!
5. High Pony
Some may think ponytails aren’t cute but when you rock a high pony with some accessories you not only look amazing but it’s also super versatile for the gym. Try this high pony out with a headband to keep your hair out of your face.
6. Bantu-Knots
Bantu-Knots are a great hairstyle to keep your hair up and out of the way. The best thing about Bantu-Knots is once you’re done with your workout you can take them out and have curls for days.
7. Top Braid
If you have a lot of layers then this top braid was made for you. Divide your hair into two sides and braid it straight down the middle, take the rest of your hair and tie it into a knot and you are good to workout.
8. High Braid
This braid sits on top of your ponytail and looks beautiful. Braid half your hair and leave the rest in a normal ponytail.
9. High Up Pixie
Sometimes a pixie cut can get in the way, so grab a little hairspray and make those strands stand up and out of the way.
10. Low Pony
Sometimes you just want something fast and easy and that is where the low pony comes in. Just sweep your hair back and secure it with a band and get to work on that workout.
11. No Fuss
Just leave your hair down. A lot of people can workout without having their hair up and if that is your thing, go for it.
